Write to Create Support Group – First Workshop

Write to Create Support Group

The first of my Write to Create support groups was held last Saturday. The first participants braved the Arctic conditions to take part in what turned out to be a very lively and engaging session. Over coffee, tea and biscuits the conversation flowed – as did the words onto the page. This first session’s theme was ‘Writing Myself’ and the exercises were designed to encourage exploration of who we feel we are and how we view our place in our immediate social/family network and wider society. It truly was a pleasure to facilitate this first group and I’m looking forward to welcoming more people to the group in future sessions.

No prior experience in creative writing or other creative techniques are required for these workshops– just a willingness to share what you can and to allow yourself to be guided towards your creativity.

The next session is Saturday March 18, 10am-12pm at Brighton Consulting Rooms, 18A Clermont Road, Brighton BN1 6SG.  The venue is right next to Preston Park Rail Station and is accessible to many areas of the South East.  Parking on Clermont Road is free.

Places are still available. If you are interested, please see the previous blog post for details or feel free to give me a call on 07753 228616 or email me at deborah@deborahsloancounselling.com.
