Hello
My name is Deborah Sloan. I am a therapist, writer and creative writing practitioner. The picture above shows me involved in one of my favourite pastimes – one that helped me as I navigated my way through fertility issues and learned to live through the grief of childlessness.
My working life has taken me on many pathways and adventures. I’ve been a shorthand typist, runway model, computer component sales rep, restaurateur, airline purser, a counsellor specialising in fertility and childlessness and now I run poetry and creative writing workshops for people living with life challenges such as, dementia, chronic pain and addiction.
I believe this blog is a junction of all that I have experienced, learned and heard over nearly two decades. I hope you find what I have to share helpful and thought-provoking.
